Lane Departure Warning System Design And Method Research

In the driving process, when the driver due to sleepiness or fatigue causes drivinginattentive or careless state, the vehicle is easy to deviate from the original driveway.Lane departure warning system is a kind of method to assist the driver through thealarm to avoid traffic accident because of lane departure.Lane departure warning system can provide lane departure warning intelligently,When driver (turning lamp is off) unconscious deviations from the original driveway,LDW system should provide sufficient reaction time before car deviates from theoriginal way, LDW system can reduce lots of traffic accidents for lane deviation, inaddition, the function of the system is to solve the problems of inattention or fatiguedriving because of long time monotonous drivingThis paper mainly completed the following work:1) Lane departure warning system requirement analysisThis paper including the detailed design of the lane detection warning system, thesystem is decomposed into four functional modules. The four module covers from thesystem start to image edge detection and from image edge detection to ultimate lanedetection and warning, the design can meet the system prior to the requirementanalysis.2) Image edge detection system design and analysisThis paper studied one dimension color subtraction image edge detection method,the improved Hough transform method and deviation decision method. The systemusing these methods can detect the lane deviation and give warning in practical; theseresults have met the expected design target.3) Lane detection and warning judging system related method and realizationThrough this paper we can understand the analysis of the vehicle lane deviationwarning system, at the same time we also have an important understanding of the coresubsystem. The system and pattern detection methods are closely linked, the detectingmethod is introduced into the system can effectively complete the lane departurewarning function.
