As the rapid development of e-commerce, especially the Business to the Customer(B2C) oline shopping, more and more under-line traditional retail and manufacturing enterprises began to get involved in B2C online retail industry to expand their sales channels. Compared with the IT companies, traditional enterprises have unparalleled advantages. However, online retail has many differences from original under-line sales. It needs a solution to meet the characteristics of online sales, to satisfies online consumers and also to integrates well with under-line sales. As the core of online store, the Order System determines the efficiency of the implementation of online sales, affects the customer’s user experience directly. It is a very valuable research issue. An efficient Order System can shorten the time of completing order, reduce the probability of the consumer to abandon the purchase, thus effectively improving the conversion rate of the mall. At the same time, a well-designed and reliable Order System can ensure the efficiency of order fulfillment and attracts users to buy again. This essay will use the Parkson Group B2C e-commerce project which was developed by IBM as background to introduce the Order System of Parkson online store. The Order System has a3-Layers architecture based on open-source frameworks, and5modules including promotion computing, shopping cart, order submission, order fulfillment and timing tasks. Order system provides a complete order process for customers, automatically implements available promotion, calculates accurate price and interacts with the WMS system to show the order fulfillment information to consumers. This thesis first clears the business objectives of Order System, summarizes the system’s functional requirements from user requirements, and analyzes and designs the business processes of the Order System. Then it shows modular design and database design of Order System, while introducing the3-Layers architecture. On this basis, the thisis shows how to use the architecture to implement the functions of these modules. The Order System has already passed the functionality and performance testing with good achievement. And soon it will formally operate with the Parkson on-line shopping mall.
