With countries around the world studying deeply on HLA, HLA-based large-scale distributed simulation technology has been widely used in military and industry in recent years.The recording and playback of data has always played an integral role in the simulation process, accurate record and playback are important foundations for engineers to make quantitative analysis and feasibility assessment, so it is necessary to research on HLA-based data recording and playback, but there is no relevant provision or restrict on data recording and playback in HLA standards.Firstly,this paper describes the background and significance of the subject, analyzes the current development at home and abroad and makes a research on architecture based on Current Situation analysis.Secondly, this paper puts forward three kinds of architecture, which are centralized, distributed and the integration of this two, for the simulation size, network load and imbalance of resource allocation, and analyzes the advantages, disadvantages and the applied situations of the three architectures.Then,this paper also focuses on the key technologies in the ststem implementation process. Creating tables dynamically, ommunication coordination among members, log, cache, to name but a few. And it makes a study of the format of the data stored in the simulation process and creates data tables in combination of the simulation data characters using clustered table features provided by Oracle.Finally, this paper describes the system’s design and implementation using VC++in VS2005according to the actual needs of the electronic warfare detection project. The system uses object-oriented concept to meet the HLA’s requirements of reusable, reconfigurable and strong interactive. The system can choose to use either the centralized or the distributed way according to the scale of the simulation, which means that the system can concentrate the responsibility of the data record and playback to be one federal member to work or divide the data record and playback into several members to work together. The system completes the design of the database and does some analysis and optimization of the database. Practical applications show that the speed of insertion and retrieval can meet the requirement of data record and playback on line. The system also provides a simple user interface for the users to operate and maintain the information of the database directly. The system has used caching technology and multi-threaded programming technology so that it can meet the real-time requirements in the advancing of the system simulation.This system has been running stable and the practical application shows that the system has achieved the design goals.
