| In recent years, Web OS based on the cloud computing and cloud storage has becomethe technology of the current focus of the study. Because the Web applications has theadvantage of rapid deployment, cross-platform and strong remote data exchange capability,using it as a platform to develop a virtual operating system is a good plan, that’s why the WebOS is born. Using Web OS can help people share information and cooperate more easily.Regardless of which terminals the users are using, they can easily control their owninformation, and that is the meaning of the Web OS. There are many products launched suchas the Eye OS and the You OS.However, despite the quick development of Web OS, the development of many of itscomponents is not proper, especially the browser which is regarded as the gate of the Internet.It is the essential software for Internet access. From inputting the URL and processing thedata from the Web server to the rendering and parsing of the page returned from the server,all of which need the functional modules of the browser to complete. Although, it is true thatpeople can exit the Web OS and use a common browser to access the Internet, but this is notthe ultimate solution. There is one point which is very important that the resources of thecloud storage technology behind the Web OS can’t be used by the normal browser, while youcan use these resources if you develop it on the Web OS, including saving the data of the WebOS browser to the clouds. Therefore, the Web OS browser based on cloud storage technologycomes to reality. In this article we call the Web OS browser the cloud browser. It is a veryimportant component of the Web OS, with which people can use the Web OS moreconveniently, and get a consistent user experience as the Web OS. There are not manyresearchers doing research on the cloud browser, even if there are some, its functions are verysimple and can’t satisfy the peoples’ needs. For solving this problem, the purpose of thispaper is to investigate the implementation of the cloud browser based on the cloud storagewhich is running on the Web OS. From the final results, we can see the proposed plan iscertain to have meaning and reference value.This paper at first introduces the background and significance of the Web OS, the cloudstorage technology and the cloud browser and also gives an overview conclusion. Then usingthe successfully implementation of the cloud browser in my own project as an example, thisarticle introduces its main idea and the basic knowledge of the technology. At the same time,it analyzes the application of the cloud storage and the browser technology in the cloudbrowser. Finally, this article introduces the overall architecture and algorithms of the cloud browser in detail, also it gives a more detailed conclusion to the core modules. In the end, itshows the appearance of the cloud browser and analyzes both its advantages anddisadvantages. |
