The Study About Web Self-identity In The Context Of Civil Society

Schramm once said:Medium participated in all the significant social change since it turned up.Web is not only more and more closely integrated into the modern life,but also kept up with the pace of China’s reform.Web can promote China’s democratic process in many ways,while with the rise of social network in recent years,scholars gradually notice that web can remould people.This paper explains this question from the perspective of self-identity.The relationship between the network and the person is a complex proposition.The purpose of this thesis is to explore.how man’s cognition and behavior have been changed,and what will happen to the people and the society in this new kind of web environment.There are three innovative significance in this paper:firstly,it is the best time to do the research.Micro-blog developed very fast in the past year.People as elements in the network has been magnified.which never happened.Secondly.most researchers are more concentrated on the study of phenomenon.But I choose to find out the inherent law and how it work in this paper.Last but not the least.public sphere is the key point in previous research of web and civil society. In this thesis,I regard the people as a variable to discuss what will happen to China’s civil society,especially under the circumstances of social network.After a lot of work,l propose two new points.Firstly,I divide the process of the web self-identity’s development into three stages. Affected by the network environment,self-identity go through the recessive stage and the enlightenment stage,then go into the subjectival stage.Secondly,in the subjectival stage,identity crisis will be resolved in a way. The fundamental reason for this improvement, is that social networks are conducive to the establishment of the trust mechanism.In the paper I neaten the background of web self-identity and social network at first,then advance that after recessive stage and enlightenment stage,web self-identity,which is formed by self-examination,is becoming more and more continuous,steady and unitive.Web self-identity and actual self-identity become coincide,web self-identity go into subjectival stage.The emphasis of this paper is analysing how subjectival web self-identity form.and why identity crisis can be resolved under social network.It must be said,it is the first time that using trust to analyze web self-identity.So it is an original idea. In the final part.Ⅰ talk about the way of setting up civil society on such background.Choosing three parts——personal development.civil awareness and social capital to analyse new opportunity of the civil society’s establishment in China.
