As a main subject of physics of the Earth, electrical prospecting has been one of the most effective and irreplaceable method in mineral exploration, hydrogeology survey and engineering geology survey. It is also effective in other fields, such as archeology, environmental protection and geologic calamity prevention.In recent years, some electrical protecting instruments which are controlled by computer and some software systems for analyzing and dealing with the data of electrical protecting have appeared. These instruments and software systems have been extensively used in exploration works. In spit of that, there are still some flaws. Disposing of that, this thesis discusses the design and implementation of the3-D electrical prospecting system based on Zigbee network. The system has innovations as follows:1. In the aspect of system structure, it transmits control signals and measurement data by Zigbee Network, which makes the system portable and easy for positioning;2. In the aspect of signal acquisition, the paper proposes new idea about algorithm and applies large sample sampling method, thus to improve accuracy as well as reliability of data acquisition.3. For data interpretation, it makes automatic rich water analysis, petrographical analysis and automatic anomalies detection.Based on object-oriented development method, the paper discusses whole process of the design and implementation of3-D electrical prospecting system based on Zigbee network.Firstly, the paper puts forwards improvement directions of electrical prospecting system. Meanwhile, it gives an implementation-independent description about system from users’points view by application of case method; thus, it draws requirement analysis of3-D electrical prospecting system based on Zigbee network.Secondly, based on requirement analysis, the paper discusses architecture design of 3-D electrical prospecting system based on Zigbee network. In architecture design, the paper advances objectives and principle of system design bases on system requirements. Then, it makes discussion respectively on technical architecture and functional architecture. In technical architecture, it introduces TRIZ innovative ideas to carry out network architecture design and applies hierarchical model to make logical architecture design. In functional architecture, the paper makes discussion about design of each functional module in3-D electrical prospecting system based on Zigbee network.Thirdly, the paper proposes detailed design of3-D electrical prospecting system based on Zigbee network. In static modeling, it discusses analysis method on classes as well as relationship between classes; besides, it makes example description on class diagram and class relationship diagram. In dynamic modeling, it describes dynamic interaction among objects by using sequence diagram, shows objects, link between objects and means of sending message between link partners by collaboration diagram, and describes potential state of objects, events which cause change of state and relationship between objects’state and event. Moreover, it uses activity diagram to show sequence of system activities. In system database design, the paper uses the standardized design theory of relational database to model the database of the system and discuss date storage and exchange of XML.Fourthly, on the basis of detailed design, the paper discusses implementation and test of all system modules. In the aspect of system implementation, the paper focuses on implementation process and technological difficulty on three core modules:data acquisition, data analysis and mapping. In implementation of data acquisition module, the paper explains instruction and data transmission by application of Zigbee wireless network and solution on a hardware compatible problem in implementation. In addition, the paper shows a data acquisition algorithm on the basis of earth resistivity characteristics. In implementation of data analysis module, it discusses analysis method on automatic anomalies judgment. In mapping module, it introduces graphic drawing by calling Matlab software. The paper also makes discussion on system testing depending on characteristics of the system.Finally, the paper discusses application prospects and development of3-D electrical prospecting system based on Zigbee network.
