| For the problems that designers do their design work repetitively in the process ofserver design, be aimed at inproving server design quality, avoiding repetitive work,inproving enterpises’ rapid design capabilities and market competitive abilities, thispaper studied and developed server parts library system, using parametric design,feature modeling, database, second development, and so on comprehensively.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Studied parametric design mechanism, parameter mapping mechanism andparameter-driven algorithm, identified the composition of part models in parts librarysystem, that is expressed topology information of parts by parametric models, expressedgeometric information of parts by main parameters and relevant parameters.Studied the definition, structure, reference and use of general features and artificialdefined features combined with UDF, and gived the corresponding algorithm.Studied database access&storage technology and Microsoft SQL Servercommunication interface, proposed data storage method based on “table–diagramâ€.Analyzed the functions of parts library system in use of Rational Rose software.Used MVC design pattren to separate Model, View and Controller form the portabilityof parts library system.Developed server parts library system using Pro/Toolkit, Microsoft SQL Serverand VC++.NET comprehensively.Studied the methods to assemble components and modify assembly constraints byPro/Toolkit, laied the foundation for developing server model automatic assembly in thefuture.Parts library system which can be embedded into PRO/E software and used byserver designers is some reusable and shareable public design resources. It providesconvenience for business model design to avoid repetitive work, shortens design timeand improves design efficiency. |
