| Along with the rapid development of communication technology, the backbone networkdevelopes quickly, while the access network developes slow-movingly. In order to meet thegrowing needs of bandwidth, the bottleneck problem of bandwidth must be settled as soon aspossible. Fibre to the home (FTTH) is the developmental ultimate aim of access network,ethernet technology is one maximum for its lowcost, availability and optical network highbandwidty. EPON not only combines passive optical network and ethernet technologyadvantage, but also can accomplish synthetic access including data, speech and videobusiness, and possess the satisfactory economical efficiency,thus it is one of optimizationways to solve the access bottleneck.Owing to EPON is one dot to dotty topological structure, multiple ONUs share theuplink band-width, for the purpose of avoiding those ONU data producing conflict, a suitablesort of multiplexing technology should be adopted. The technology of time-division multipleaddresses (TDMA) is superior to other multiplexing ones, the algorithm of uplinkband-width assignment on base of TDMA becomes the experts investigative hotspot at homeand abroad, and also the research priorities in the text.In this paper, we introduced multiple classic Dynamic Bandwidth Allocationalgorithm,analyzed the defect of low throughput because of existing idle time and wastingband-width resource when the charge amount of dual-timing algorithm EF class businessactivities decreased.On the base of HUHG(High utilization and Hybrid granting)which wasproposed by Jun-Seog Kim etal.,combining together study and research, on the improvementof the Dual-timing Algorithm as follow:(1)For cutting down idle time and improvingbandwidth availability, hyp-cyclical EF profession was ahead of schedule to reach thisperiodical Gate authorization frame to transfer;(2) For (the) purpose of carrying outequitable band-width allocation and deploy among different priority professions. We adoptthe way which was interconnecting between ONU and internal ONU.This research investigates the uplink band-width allocation algorithm, improves anavailable classic one, and carrying out simulation through the OPNET software. Thesimulation result indicates that the new algorithm can raise the bound to band-widthavailability, bear the weight of more user terminals under the same circumstances, cut downsingle μser cost, raise rate of return, decrease the time delay among the transmission,elevate the throughput and then improve network service quality.In the end, the article takes certainresidence districts as an example, by up-to-date EPON group carries out engineering design,and utilizing the new Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation algorithm, the consequence indicatethat the new algorithm raises the utilization rate of PON port, thus also elevates theavailability of bandwidty. |
