In electronic systems, there is an important component need to attract people’s attention, named:frequency synthesizer, the component performance is directly related to the operation of electronic equipment with radar and communications utility. At the moment, with the rapid development of communication technology, more and more electronic equipments have higher requirement to the frequency synthesizer. When frequency conversion needs high performance and a wide dynamic range, it will be limited by the phase noise. Phase noise frequency synthesizer plays an important role in performance quality and it is an important indicator. It does not only determine the sensitivity of the system, but also has a great influence on the choice of performance of the system.In response to the issues raised above, this paper carried out a deep analysis of the frequency synthesizer with a high index, especially for fine resolution low phase noise frequency synthesizer. First of all, the history of the development about the frequency synthesizer is discussed. And then, the application principle of the frequency synthesizer is introduced, named: PLL frequency synthesizer theory, including its operating principle and the basic structure of the composition. At the same time, the phase noise characteristics are discussed. Combined with the impact of active loop filter to the phase impatient, the methods to improve the phase noise are summarized. After that, the direct digital frequency synthesis (DDS) is introduced. The basic principles of the injection locking circuit are analyzed. This part is the focus of the design. At the end of the paper, comminuted with my own design, fine resolution low phase noise frequency synthesizer is introduced.In order to achieve high targets of the frequency synthesizer, this paper thinks about the program layout and structural design made respectively, it sets the stepping low than1KHz, at the same time, the phase manic indicators is higher than MITEQ band frequency synthesizer product indicators.
