| With the rapid development of network technology, the computer examination has gradually applied and promoted in many areas of society, but many universities still use the traditional approaches to organizing the examinations. As the number of students is increasing year by year, the traditional examination modes have become increasingly unsuited to the requirements of today’s higher education due to the limitations, waste of resources and other reasons. However, the current examination is still the most important means of assessing students’learning outcomes and Computer Culture Foundation Course is the subject which requires students have hand-on-work and practical ability in their study. In order to meet the needs of teaching and saving the expense, the paper suggests developing a basic computer examination system concerning the actual situation in the university. This paper introduces the needs analysis, overall design and the detailed designing process of the examination system of Computer Culture Foundation Course in the university, according to analysis, the backend database has been set up, which uses the technology in visual stutio2005and SQL (Structured Query Language) database to develop and design the basic computer examination system based on C/S mode. The system is divided into a front-end examination system backend management system. The front-end system includes the student login interface, the student online exam, random choice of exam questions, and automatic grading function. The backend manage system includes teachers and administrators with the functions as follows——authentication of the user login, management of students information, check and management of test information, management of tests information, reference to students academic performance, as well as modification, deletion and other functions. The paper focuses on the automatic grading and maintenance mode of the exam papers in the back-end management system, as well as the establishment of backend database and data maintenance. This system fully makes teaching-testing separated and examination management automatically and makes effective use of hardware and software resources on the campus, maximizing their effectiveness for the university’s teaching, research, and management services. |
