With the great improvement of professional software requirement in the oil and petrochemical industry these years, plenty of software products were developed every time. But lots of the products were so poor in function and performance, because of less quality control in the process of software development. So there’re so many wastes of resources.This article gives an introduction of domestic and foreign software quality management and quality control, and gives a detailed introduction of the domestic oil and petrochemical industry software quality management and quality control model, and in the light of the shortcomings of the original model puts forward the improved model.The new improved model applied to geologic data management system in a construction project practice, checks and proves the applicability of the new model, which lays a solid theoretical and practical basis for the future software construction project. The paper’s conclusion is as a reference for the future software project and quality management in petroleum and petrochemical industry.
