According to statistics, descending area of communication cell plays an important part in increasing capabilty of communication system and improvement of coverage of indoor wireless signal has became a heat topic in communication field. Based on above two reasons,femtocell arises at the historic moment.The contents of this paper divides into two parts:the software design of Iuh interface and packet scheduling algorithm of HSDPA research in femtocell. As formulated by3GPP standardization organization,RAN Gateway is the standard way of femtocell deployment. In RAN Gateway technology,Iuh is the core concept which is the own interface of femtocell,developed from Iu interface. HNBAP protocol and RUA protocol are added to the Iuh interface protocols. After completing the function design of femtocell, in order to enhance the quality of communication, we reseached a packet scheduling algorithm over combination of HSDPA and femtocell. HSDPA means high speed downlink packets access which is a technology used to increase the data traffic of users. Among this technology packet scheduling algorithm is a very important algorithm. Research on it is beneficial to improving users’equity and enhancing users’QoS satisfaction.This paper mainly completed a few aspects of work as following:Firstly,it has analyzed the whole network architecture and whole sofware architecture of femtocell and analyzed the architecture and function of Iuh interface. Furtherly it has researched functional modules division and function of every modules. Based on above theories,it emphasisly designed software about Iuh interface protocol stack. HNBAP module realized function of HNB register UE registered finite state machine、UE access. RANAP module realized function of RAB management finite state machine and RRM module interface. IuUP module realized function of IuUP finite state machine and process of disposing IuUP frames. We set up testing platform,using wireshark to test the CS and PS domain function of Iuh interface.We researched HSDPA packet scheduling algorithm. Firstly we researched the channel characteristic and working process of HSDPA and then classify the packet scheduling algorithm while analysing the characteristic of each algorithm. Based on above theories, we substituted two dimensional utility function about rate and delay for two dimensional utility algorithm, and deduced the packet scheduling algorithm based on two dimensional utility function. And then simulated these algorithm using matlab.The innovation of this paper is as follow:We have designed the Iuh interface protocol stack software based on femtocell, realized the very important part of femtocell’s function of communication; we have researched the packet scheduling algorithm of HSDPA and deduced a algorithm——based on two demensional utility function. This algorithm is beneficial to improving users’ equity and QoS guarantee.
