With the development of computer technology andnetwork technology, the remote monitoring has become the main direction formonitoring technology development. The core of the remote monitoring system is theembedded Video Front Controller, so the advances of Video Front Controller stimulatedthe development of remote monitoring technology.Based on the applications of the embedded Video Front Controller, the paper isabout to a Video Front Controller based on S3C2440. The video server has four ananloginputs, people can select one of them to monitor. It can deliver the monitoring data tothe cengter through wired or wireless network, it also can store the data to the Flash orthe SD card. The system has the pir sensor. When someone go closely the pir sensor, thesystem can give an alarm and send short messages to the user automatically.Firstly, the paper introduced the monitoring technology and the various parts of themonitoring as well as the domestic and foreign situation. It also forecast thedevelopment trend.Secondly, the paper analysed the technology of the embedded video server.Then,it chose a video signal format and an image compression method for the system.Thirdly, according to the system requirements to determine the system design, itincluded the hardware architecture, the division of functional modules, selecting theright chip and then planning the system design process.Fourthly, the paper introduced how to designe the schematics and the PCB layout,it also gave a detailed description of the design principle.Lastly, the paper introduced the major software design, how to configure theregister and test the hardware. |
