As the most basic functional device for applying phase information, phase shiftersare mainly used as the T/R components of phased array radars. The phased array antenna has been extensively employed in the fields of radar, confrontation, communication, identification of friend or foe and exploration. Acting as the core device of phased array radars, phase shifters have been increasingly enhancing the requirements for their performance indexes, reliability and miniaturization. Therefore, the development of miniaturized and highly reliable microwave phase shifters satisfies the needs of practical application of projects. This paper conducts research with pertinence about three kinds of typical frequency range products of phase shifters below C wave band, which has practical meaning of actual promotion. In this paper, the author mainly summarizes the development process of microwave phase shifters, not only with theoretical discussion and computer simulation design, but also with research about the techniques of the production process to some extent.Main tasks of this paper are as follows:1. Introduce the background of the microwave phase shifter project, summarize foreign and domestic development and research situations, and introduce the research content and technical indexes of this project.2. Briefly introduce several basic structures of phase shifters.3. Conduct simulation designs about the three microwave phase shifter to be studied in the project, and provide the simulation curve and design layout.4. Study the technique programs during the design and production of microwavephase shifters.5. Compare the indexes of actual tests of phase shifters with foreign indexes, andsummarize the development work.
