The development of electronic and communication technologies, the traditionalmanual meter reading cann’t longer meet the needs of social development and theladder meter reading. For a manual meter reading, the waste of human and materialresources. Into the21st century, businesses are constantly to the intelligent development.Therefore, the smart meter system is to be raised. Zigbee is a very popular in recentyears the development of wireless communication technology, low power, low-rate, lowcost, it is mainly used for transmission between a variety of short-range, low power,low-rate variety of equipment the data. Based on this, Zigbee technology in the field ofwireless automatic meter reading applications, by using TI’s CC2530chip, combinedwith ST’s STPM01power measurement chip, and can achieve the measurementaccuracy in the district of intelligent meter reading purposes.The wireless meter reading system designed in this paper is divided into signalacquisition, data transmission, the control center of three parts, the use of theSTMicroelectronics production STMP10chip as a front-end energy meter dataacquisition equipment, while taking advantage of TI’s CC2530chip as a wirelesstransmission module, PC is a community property or the power used by the departmentin charge of the control center. The paper is divided into six parts, the first two partssummarize knowledge on the background of the subject and author of the characteristicsof ZigBee technology learning, a detailed comparison of the most commonly used classof wireless sensor technology and ZigBee technology, described in detail in this designknowledge of the protocol stack, network topology, the protocol stack architecture andSTMP01of technical characteristics of the chip and ZigBee technology used to the waytext and picture a lot of exposition. Secondly, the paper described the system design andanalysis of the system hardware and software systems required to make, papers,respectively, for a key part of the system hardware and software systems to make adetailed discussion details the power circuit has been transmitted sense circuit designideas and design methods, analysis of the communication process between the CC2530and STPM01chip has data acquisition. Finally, conclusions and test results to make appropriate discourse, and pointed out the shortcomings of the current system, and thesystematic follow-up research.The design has been proved through experiments in the design of analog acquisitionenvironment can be more accurately measure the power meter readings at a particularmoment, can add timeshare meter reading on this basis, to meet the ladder copy theneeds of the table, this design has a certain practical value, provide a better idea for thefuture popularity of wireless meter reading in the community.
