Based On The Theory Of Self-organization Network Public Opinion System Research

With the development of internet technology in recent years, the self media such asblog, microblog and SNS, etc. enable the netizens to express their attitudes towards andopinions on social hot issues and spots more conveniently and quickly. The aggregationof the public opinion information becomes the amplifier of public opinions. Thenetizens express their attitudes, opinions and feelings through internet public opinionwhich has become an important part of public opinions. In particular, when hot issuesare discussed widely, internet public opinion is more powerful. Internet public opinionmakes the common issues hot, the simple issues complicated, local issues integrated andgeneral issues politicized, and makes our Party’s governing environment face profoundtest. In a series of internet public opinion issues which have occurred recently—such as“Yao Jiaxin Traffic Collision and Murder Case”,“Guo Meimei Event” and “7.23Train’s Accident”,“Guangdong Wukan Event” etc., the transmission and spreading ofpublic opinion is not the conscious organizational behavior by website or organizationsbut the completely spontaneous behaviors such as posting, replying, reproducing andleaving messages, etc. by netizens and has the basic characteristics of self-organizationcomplex system.Therefore, this thesis will adopt the self-organization theory in systems science toconduct a study on the internet public opinion system, attempting to reveal theself-organization law of internet public opinion system and to adopt systems scienceand communication to discuss how the self organization, self creation, self replicationand self evolution of public opinion information in internet public opinion system arecompleted. I will divide internet public opinion system self-organization intoinformation self-organization and utility self-organization and adopt quantitativeresearch method to conduct a study on them. And I will adopt content analysis methodto conduct a study on “Guo Meimei Case” in Chapter III, attempting to get the universallaw of information self-organization of internet public opinion system; and adoptquestionnaire method to survey the opinion tendency of netizens (public opinion subject)and influencing factors of “Yao Jiaxin Traffic Collision and Murder Case” in Chapter IV, attempting to understand the mutual influence and effect between netizens andpublic opinion information (i.e. the utility self-organization mechanism of internetpublic opinion system).The ultimate purpose of understanding and researching the universal law ofinternet public opinion system self organization is to put forward three-dimensionalcoping and controlling strategy (i.e. strategy of self-organization guidance andheter-organization control). Specifically, the following items should be done: firstly,fostering the self-organization evolvement conditions of internet public opinion systemto make the system in ordered state; secondly, respecting self-organization evolvementlaw of internet public opinion system to lead the system from disordered state toordered state; thirdly, conducting auxiliary control by improving the technologies,perfecting the response mechanism and proper legal and administrative means.
