With the constant development of China’s economy and innovation of technology,medical technology has been an unprecedented development, and domestic minimallyinvasive diagnosis and treatment is developing rapidly. Especially in endoscopediagnosis and therapy this development is most evidently, the increasingly strongdemand on the endoscope industry had a huge lead role. Electronic endoscope hasvery important applying potential and researching value in medical diagnosis andindustrial areas.Medical electronic endoscope,very widely used medical equipment,is the combination of Optical Engineering,computer technology, microelectronictechnology,mechanical technology and digital image processing technology,andetc.Through endoscope,doctors Can directly observe the viscera and the internalpathological,and can be observed in the image storage and image processing,so it isvery convenient for them to conduct clinical diagnosis and track disease anddetermine treatment.This paper aims to develop the electronic endoscope image workstation software.Firstly introduced the history and development status of electronic endoscope and itsfuture development trends, and then discusses in detail design of the endoscopicimage workstation system software.The system includes the following functions:(1)High-resolution CMOS image sensor for image capture. However, the output ofthe CMOS image sensor is10bit parallel high-speed digital signal,in this output mode,the maximum signal transmission distance just only between10cm and20cm.Working distance of the electronic endoscope must be more than100cm, so to solvethis technical difficulty, Using LVDS code technology, CMOS image sensor signalafter LVDS circuits processing,not only to achieve the high-speed transfer ofimage data, but also to maintain a low-power and noise performance, making theimage data by long-distance transmission,more than2meters, can still gethigh-quality image signal before reconstruction.(2) Processing of acquisition image,such as Sharpen, segmentation and so on. The CMOS image sensors capture images isthe original image which contains a lot of noise. It is must be sharpened, afterprocessing pretreatment image, and then using the integration of watershed algorithm,the seed region growing and region merging algorithm for image segmentation.(3)storage of acquisition image, so that it can help physicians carefully studied treatment programs and its as student learning materials.(4)software of Man-machine interfacedesign,which have many functions such as Patients information, endoscopicinformation and image capture, basically meets the needs of physicians.
