With the increasing of indoor mobile date, the coverage of indoor mobile date has became more and more important, the demand for peripheral would rise. In order to manage and monitor the indoor baseband processor what has good dispersibility, we designed a monitoring system based on GPRS which has several functions, such as power outage warning, environmental data acquisition, energy saving and emission reduction, prevention of thievery. It provides powerful guarantee to enhance the stable operation of peripheral, and helps Mobile Network Operators manage effectively.Firstly we introduced kinds of communication modes adapted by monitoring system which used in both domestically and abroad, and analysised development and current status of monitoring system based on GPRS. Then according to real requirement, we designed a monitoring system based on GPRS. The system is composed of acting-ring module, image module and communication module. Among them acting-ring module is responsible for environmental data acquisition, transmit and control. Image module is responsible for taking pictures, infrared testing, storeing pictures and transmitting pictures. Communication module is responsible for intermodule communication and communication between modules and background server.Papers give the detailed description of hardware design and software design about the part of function of each module. ARM Cortex-M3processor is heart of the system, It’s responsible for managing sensors and cameras, and transmitting date. The GPRS module is processor-driven to transmit date. The processor is STM32F100C8provided by ARM and the supporting hardware is well designed. The GPRS module is MG323provided by HUAWEI. The temperature transmitter is DS18B20, it’s a new-style temperature intelligent sensor with digital and it can achieve the temperature date collection. The CMOS camera combined with infrared sensors to achieve image date acquisition and taking pictures of moving object. Pictures will saved in the FLASH memory after photograph firstly, then transmits pictures to background server by communication module.This design from reality, and make sure streamline, automation and informatization in the maintenance process. Transmitting and feedbacking control information quickly, locating problems and fixing them quickly. So it helps Mobile Network Operators improve network service quality, and ensure network response speed, and enhance comprehensive competence capacity in the complex environment.
