Agricultural intelligent mobile robot is an important branch of robotics. It is also effective implementations of agricultural automation and mobile platforms of most agricultural operations. The3G wireless network technology applied in communication system of agricultural mobile robot breaks the robot control distance limitations, which primarily implements the remote control across the region. Image data collected and transmited through camera and3G network has been displayed in remote web browser dynamic, which provide technical support for holding the surrounding environment of mobile robot and the accuracy of robot action.Based on the analysis of domestic and international agricultural mobile robot development status, embedded system and communication technology has been added to agricultural robot. The design of agricultural intelligent mobile robot embedded communication system includes three parts:hardware selection, software design and system debugging. According to design requirements, appropriate hardware and software is choosed, like the ARM chip and Linux systems as the development platform. Image data is captured through camera and sent to3G network by wireless communications module based on TCP/IP protocol. The client server can send and receive data through the Web browser for image collection and control command transmission.Firstly,the hardware of agricultural robot embedded communication system has been designed. The microprocessor types and the ARM processor features are discribed. S3C2410based on ARM920T core is selected as the center processor. Next, peripheral circuit on the core board is expanded necessarily, including storage module, power supply circuit, serial interface, USB interface, I/O interface and JTAG interface. Data transmission, storage and other functions are implemented. The camera module and communication module are choosed in order to achieve data collection and transmission.Secondly, a software platform includes embedded Linux operating system platform and Web wireless communication. When constructing embedded Linux operating system platform, the crossover development environment should be established firstly; the BootLoader program has been transplanted based on hardware platform; the Linux kernel has also been developed, compiled and transplanted; the Cramfs file system has been developed; a hidden camera ZC301drive and serial port driver are designed and transplanted. Embedded Web technology has been adopted in agricultural mobile robot. We can manage and communicate the embedded agricultural robot only by Web browser. Choosing Boa as the Web server, we can finish and configure embedded Web service in this hardware and software platform. Developing and designing CGI program to finish dynamic Web technology, which will has been achieved agricultural robot with embedded interactive features.At last, the whole system is tested and the idea of further development is advanced. After the experiment, this design of agricultural mobile robot communication system expanded the scope of work. Through the embedded server and3G network, the data dynamic transfered and displayed in the browser with real-time and stable, meeted the requirements of network transmission and communication. Definite innovation is put in combining embedded technology, Web technology and3G communications technology. Basis for further research, development and consummate functions has been established.
