| Nowadays, books are playing an more and more important role in people’s daily life. Libraries, which are circulation centers for books contribute a lot in the circulation of books. The libraries in china have more and more books. However the management system for the book can’t satisfy the users’need anymore. And the Libraries in the same city can’t not share books between each other, which means the use-ratio of books is not high. A new kind of MIS for books and libraries is needed for exchanging of books between libraries.In this paper, through building a new book management system which can be used for book management, book borrowing, user query and the most important:share books between libraries, makes the exchanging books come true. The new system can increase the use-ratio and serve the users better.Firstly, the paper introduces the situation of libraries. Then tell about the basic development theory in software, such as B/S, C/S, MVC(model-view-controller), UML(Unified Modeling Language), SQL Server. In the analysis for requirements, the paper describes the circulation process of books, adds the new function:book exchanging between libraries and summaries users into two kinds of user:the administrator and ordinary user. In the phase of design, the paper slices the whole system into16functions including book management, query online, exchanging between libraries, history and so on. In implementation for the system, the paper describes the functions and process in detail. To ensure the quality of the system, the paper lists the testing effort which has been done. At last, the paper makes some outlook on the future of book management systems. The paper aims to solve the users’ increasing requirements as well as increasing the user-ratio of books, and the exchanging of books between libraries. To achieve all of this, the paper builds a new cross-lib book management system which can help to make better service to users and improve the quality in the services. |
