| With the rapid development of the social economy, people’s safety awareness are growing.The application of video surveillance systems is increasingly important, especially in theimportant departments, such as public security, finance and securities, banks, shops. With thedevelopment of science and technology and the improvement of image processing technology,video surveillance systems penetrate into other areas such as education, government, health care,transportation, and gradually into people’s living and working place. In this article proposedavision for video surveillance hardware design with GM8182chip as the processor and based onthe Cadence software, based on the development of EDA technologies and video surveillanceequipment.The article first analyzes the functional requirements of video surveillance equipment,proposed an overall design framework for video surveillance equipment with GM8182coremicroprocessor, and it introduced the main chip(such as the processor chip of GM8182, audioand video processing chip) and described the functions of each hardware module circuit,andhow to complete hardware schematic design of each module, including memory circuits,Ethernet circuits, audio and video processing circuits, audio and video data storage circuits,expansion of USB interface circuit, power circuit and other modules circuits, using OrCADsoftware.Then we completed PCB design using the Allegro software, and focused on the precautionsand measures of the high-speed circuit board design layout and wiring. We detailed thedifferential line routing and DDR2isometric routing, especially the high-speed signal routingbetween GM8182and DDR2chip.Finally, we simulated the key net which is the video surveillance equipment’s high-speedsignals between GM8182and DDR2chips, through analysis of simulation results, using theCadence software’s SpectraQuest simulation software, it determined the accuracy of the wholesystem work’s timing.Cadence is a powerful EDA software,using it to design hardware and simulate the high-speed circuit, not only reduced the hardware design cycle, but also save the developmentcosts. |
