Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) has been widely used, because of its simplyprogramming, high reliability adaptability, etc., But with the development of technology,higher requests have been required in the control technique,traditional of PLC which structureenclosed, incompatible hardware system, using special operating system, programminglanguages and different instruction, cannot satisfy the demand for higher and more complexcontrol. The Soft PLCbased on PC, which have good open and rich resources, but lack of theabitity of consistency and real-time.Therefore committes to research and build a bettercontroller, the flexibility of the stability and reliability of PLC and PC and software functionto solve various problems in industrial control, which has positive significance.Programmableautomation is a new controller, which not only has stability of PLC and PC multi-functional characteristics.PAC integration for the high performance and reliability and stability of embeddedtechnology which provides an open industry standard, integrated with software andhardware on the same platform, carrying on the full development. This article analysises onthe basis of the existing PAC technology, in order to address escalating PAC programmingplatforms and PAC hardware compatibility issues,a solution scheme of PAC bases on virtualtechnology was proposed. The PAC’s hardware platform adoptes modular design of ARMchip, the user can select specific modules freely, make the system have good scalability; Tofacilitate the PAC data communications and network control,designing a rich communicationinterface, it can be able to in communicate with others by RS232, RS485, SPI bus, CANbus,and also designing the Ethernet which can complete the underlying data transfer betweenPAC itself communication or devices to make the user build up the PAC networkconveniently. Embedded Linux operating system is adopted in software design,to shieldprogramming links between the platform and hardware through virtual machines. whenhardware platforms changes, only need to be transplanted in virtual machines to compile ofyour application to achieve separation of applications and hardware platforms;in order toachieve the PAC design and application of configuration software, this article discussesEthernet driver for INSEPC configuration software development, and research with uppermonitoring system based on INSEPC, as well as of remoteing control in Internet network tothe PAC system through INSEPC.In this paper, A Boiler Control System is designed based on the PACcontrol system,andimplemented the control of PAC on the Boiler,as well as carried out the upper monitoring andremote monitoring.The system is running well, and achieved the desired objectives. Theexperiment proves that the design is reasonable, and has a high value of application.
