In recent years, with the rapid development of hardware and software, theComputer Graphics and the medical visualization have a further infiltrated, promotingthe application of visualization in medical field. As the study of visualization in medicalarea has been a hotspot in the word, reasearchers got great interest in the application ofvisualization technology. Our tasks—volume measurement—are based on thistechnology. On the one hand the volume measurement can help the doctors determinethe severity of the condition and locate the lesion accurately, which can help doctorsmake a more reasonable health care scheme, on the other hand can have an importantreference value for the development of the disease. Therefore, this subject has importantpractical significance.Traditionally, we use two-demensional tools and instruments to treat the disease.However, with the development of science and technology, the traditional way ofdignosis increasingly unable to meet the requirements of modern medical. Werepresented the size of lesion through A*B、A*B*C or diameter before, but thismethod is not so exact especially for the irregular shape. Our method in this paper candirectly achieve the volume measurement based on the three-dimensional reconstruction.Compared with a few of volume measurement methods, we propose a new way tomeasure volume in this paper based on VTK and Quasi-Monte Carlo algorithm. VTKmainly used to achieve the three-dimensional reconstruction of image sequences on themeasured object. We used the classic reconstruction method—Marching Cube—in ourpaper, and combined with the VTK vtkBoxWidget class implements a real-timeinteraction. The proposed Quasi-Monte Carlo method is actually a mathematical method,it can solve a lot of problems with its pseudo-random number. We use vtkBoxWidget toproduce a regular shape and achieve the three-dimensional reconstruction in it andproduce uniformly and a certain number of random number. We can get the volume ofthe measured item and analyze the obtained result.Our study provides a new idea and method for the measurement of volume.Combined with VTK、MFC, we achieve the volume measurement based on the VisualStudio2005development platform. It provides some technical assistance for thedevelopment of clinical medical system at the same time.
