Mobile ad hoc networks have been widely used as a new technology for their goodperformance, which have a very broad application prospect and the research value. Amobile ad hoc network consists of wireless mobile nodes forming a temporary networkwithout the help of centralized infrastructure. The flexibility, easy deployment andself-configurability are incredible features of mobile ad hoc network. Due to thefeatures introduced above, MANETs are suitable for many applications such as militarybattlefield, emergency rescue, vehicular communication and mining operation whichjust need be deployed quite easily and conveniently at any place on temporary purpose.Because there is no intermediate servers, nodes have to cooperate with each other tosupport the network functions. By reason of this characteristic, the cooperation betweennodes is very fragile while some nodes are in bad states and can be damaged bymalicious nodes. At the same time, energy efficiency is one of the most importantdesign constraints in Ad Hoc network architectures. The lifetime of each node dependson its energy dissipation. So the research of energy-saving routing has become a veryimportant research direction.Algebra theory is introduced in this thesis firstly. It is used to analyze thecharacteristics of the general routing of MANETs and guide the method of establishedthe routing framework based on trust and energy model. This thesis gets the conclusionthat the final routs will converge if the algebra for routing designed meets the propertyof monotonicity and the isotonicity. In the following, under the guidance of route algebra, this thesis presents acomprehensive evaluation of energy trust routing mechanism. This model puts forwarda reasonable approach to the dynamic change of trust network so as to achieve the targetthat can make trust value converge fast and accurately. In comparison with existing trustframework model, the conclusion suggests that this theoretical framework can achieve afaster assessment than the other models on the premise that the accuracy is ensured. Thus, it can improve the overall network throughput and efficiency. When some routeswhich is safe and reasonable have been selected by the trust framework, we propose a sensible energy-saving optimization method to find the most optimal path as thetransmission channel of data. The simulation in the end of this thesis confirms thevalidity of these theories that enhance network performance, save energy consumptionand increase the maximum lifetime of the entire network.
