The comparison of tool processing marks images is the application and promotion ofcomputer digital image processing technology, which is used in security-monitoring,industrial production,and criminal investigation and other fields. Tool processing marksinspection is to research the formation and changes of tool processing marks images andmake judgment. The traditional tool processing marks inspection mainly rely on manualinspection, it’s too time consuming, having low efficiency and low accuracy. And so withthe development of the society, traditional tool marks inspection cannot meet human needs.By means of the rapid development of computer image processing technology to conducta comprehensive analysis of the tool processing marks image features, can realize theinspection rapid and automated and have a great practical value to improve the current toolprocessing marks inspection situation.This thesis focuses on tool processing mark images. In order to get better imageprocessing results, first, several traditional image filtering algorithms are analyzed andcompared. And then having simulation to the two algorithms of the two-dimensionaladaptive filtering based on projection algorithm and the image registration based on anovel two-dimensional filter algorithm, verify that the two algorithms, image processingcapabilities. Finally, establish a system of tool processing marks inspection includingmanual alignment and automatic identification. The algorithms which are been selectedhave been realization in this system. The automatic identification part is to inspect toolprocessing marks images through the method of texture analysis, and the Manual part canarbitrary zoom in or out, rotate and move splicing the image, this part is the furtherconfirmation of the automatic identification of tool processing marks images and ensurethe recognition accuracy. The system is realized by C++programming and is on theVC++6.0platform.This system can effective solve the problem of inefficiency, low accuracy time-consuming and so on problems in traditional tool marks inspection.
