As the core of real-time system,real-time operating system has been widely used in industrial and military fields. ARTs-OS is an embedded real-time operating system developed by ourselves using domestic and foreign technology. As a microprocessor, ARM is Highly suitable for real-time operating system platform. The performance of interrupt can largely afect the performance of real-time operating system.In-depth research has been done during the development of ARTs-OS.The interrupt model of ARTs-OS is established on the analysis of the current implementation technology of real-time operating system and the specific requirements, including priority interrupt nested, interrupt emulation and interrupt mask, etc.The model with real-time, easy scalability and reliability features supports the other modules and external devices. As the interrupt model of ARTs-OS is based on ARM,the research of ARM’s performance has been done during the development. Interrupt mechanism of ARTs-OS developed with ARM chips feature makes the system have very well real-time performance.Interrupt nested, well used in ARTs-OS, is the key technology of the interrupt development of real-time operating system, and it can mostly afect the performance of the system.Interrupt latency has been a problem of real-time operating system for a long time, and there is no perfect way to solve it now.In ARTs-OS,interrupt nested and interrupt emulation are used to improve the interrupt latency of system. Some tests also been done during the development of ARTs-OS.ARTs-OS is developed during the process of constantly exploring new technologies,so some used technologies may not be very mature, but it will be an operating system with well real-time performance.
