Embedded ADHOC Network Node: Protocol Analysis And Its GUI Design

Ad hoc network is a decentralized, self-organized wireless radio packet networkwithout fixed network infrastructure.This network is constructed through theembedded terminals whose power supply is mainly battery.First, we introduce the state-of-the-art in ad hoc networking.Second, weillustrate the embedded ADHOC network hardware platform and its software andhardware interface based on ARM-Linux and S3C2410.Third, we give a comparativeanalysis of the current ADHOC routing protocols.Fourth, we give a complete analysisof the embedded ADHOC network node’s protocol architecture based on ARM-Linuxand AODV-UU, including:AODV-UU message processing mechanism, neighbornode maintenance, userspace routing table maintenance, AODV-UU Netlink andNetfilter mechanism based on ARM-Linux Netlink and Netfilter. Finally, we build theembedded ADHOC network node system based on the analysis above and construct afour-node ADHOC network. In addition, we design the ADHOC network tester andtest the four-node ADHOC network’s performance. Besides, we analyze theARM-Linux based GUI system architecture and implement the ADHOC networkconfiguration GUI. Furthermore, we give the ADHOC power control theory based onAODV-UU and implement the ADHOC network based on Android OperatingSystem.
