As the necessary tool for the construction, Large-scale construction machinery playsan important role in progress and quality of the project. However, because theconstruction machinery is mostly subjected to poor working conditions, meanwhile, thecharacteristics of construction determines their work distributed on the different site, sothe large dispersion and strong liquidity of the equipment leads to the management workbecoming more and more difficult. Therefore, we urgently need a remote controlling andmonitoring system to monitor the construction machinery, timely getting constructionmachinery’s operation parameters, providing data to trace accidents reason, ensuring thatthe construction machinery can operating reliable and safely.According to the current domestic and foreign development situation of the remotecontrolling and monitoring construction machinery industry, the remote controlling andmonitoring system solutions for construction machinery is proposed in this paper. Basedon the need of this project, the overall framework is investigated, and discussed theimplementing key technologies of the system. The three-tier C/S-based platform idadopted to design the system software architecture in this paper, and the system isdivided into modules of system management, construction machinery management,monitoring and controlling management. The system is made up by server and client, theserver mainly gathers the source data from the equipment and communicates client, theclient displays equipment monitoring dynamic on the screen and responses users’operation. The system is adapted to different types of construction machinery equipment,the content of user’ management, customizing monitoring interface and monitoringconstruction machinery equipment are analyzed in this paper.In this paper, the three-tier C/S-based platform framework is adopted to design thesystem software architecture, besides, a new remote controlling and monitoring system mode as one system can be used for different types of construction machinery is alsoproposed and discussed. In addition, the specific design and implementation steps aregiven in this program. It has a great significance of the system in both theory andrealization, and can provide certain reference for developing a new more efficient remotemonitoring system.
