The Study On The Phenomenon Of Experts’ Opinions Misuses In Depth Science And Technology Reports Of Chinese Newspapers

First, this article analyzed the performance of experts’ opinions misuses in depthscience and technology reports of Chinese newspapers, including using the wrongexperts; experts’ opinion inconsistent with the theme; experts’ advices to theunified-fits-all; experts’ opinions didn’t embody the profound and forward-looking;experts’ opinions reports writing stylistic becoming stereotyped. Second, put forward theharm caused by this phenomenon, including damaged the authenticity of the reports;undermined the authority and credibility of the newspaper; made the newspaper can’tplay a competitive advantage; caused panic in the audience and even social unrest; madethe professional level of experts questioned; is not conducive to the experts engaged totheir professional research in the field. Third, analyzed the reasons for this phenomenon,including the reporter lack of scientific literacy; the newspaper office lack of restraintand punishment mechanisms; experts in the manipulation of the demands of the personalinterest or receive interest groups. Finally, pointed out that the solution need the tripartiteefforts by reporters, newspaper office and experts, including journalists to enhance theprofessionalism and scientific literacy; newspaper office need to strict customs; expertsto enhance scientific literacy and media literacy, and they will joint efforts to prevent theproblem of experts’ opinions misuses in depth science and technology reports of Chinesenewspaper, making the science and technology reported that the future will be morehealthy, benign development.
