| With the rapid development of computer technology and networking technology is widely used, the "data explosion but lack of knowledge" is increasingly prominent. Establishments that provide services primarily for readers of the library, borrow books are its main function. The library system has accumulated the massive borrowing books data in the long term, Under the atmosphere of increasing readers’demands, How to use the library borrow data in the system, such as resource flows, procurement provides scientific decision-making, personalized service, to promote library and information studies, data mining is to solve one of the above methods. Using data mining techniques can be extracted from large amounts of data reliable, innovative, effective and ultimately, patterns of information handling procedures can be understood, it involves databases, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, statistics, visualization, parallel computing, and many other fields of knowledge. Data mining techniques applied to the library as a preliminary attempt for this article. This article introduces the concept of the data mining, the contents, objects, the method, the task, process and data mining tool selection, and the association rules, the decision tree, clustering algorithms, neural network, etc. This paper, using the reader’s borrowing number of Xi’an University of Finance And Economic in recent years, made a further study to how to provide personalized service to readers according to our data of practice. Through collecting the data, careful analyzing, using kinds of methods to trial, we established validated mining model of the readers’ borrowed books. It includes: the correlation model among readers’borrowed books, pertinence, divided model regard to sex of readers and the cycle model about busy degree of books borrowed, analyzing the readers’borrowing books characteristics and readers’ behavior characteristics, and to put forward the making suggestion of service measures. We hope to improve the utilization of resources and to help improve the library’s service level. |
