| With the rapid development of internet applications,we need to test and evaluatenetwork performance completely under a lot of technical means,to ensure the stabilityand sustainability of network services.Therefore,network measurement techniques aremore and more attention,has become one of the hotspots in the netwrk area.In othercountries,the measure instruments produced by few manufacturers of commercialrepresented by IXIA have been monopolized,and in China,network measurement systemwith independent rights is basically in a preliminary stage.In a variety of networks,ethernet and radio networks are considered typical representative, of which performancehas become the focus of the study.Taking the sub-project “network measurement system†as the background,thispaper mainly carry out the research on test protocol of ethernet and radionetwork,design a test protocol and develop a network measurement system,cancomplete the measurement task of ethernet and radio network effectively,to facilitate theuse of quantitative indicators of network performance in data assessment,to provide aquantitative reference for network management,network performance evaluation,network optimization and service assurance.In this paper,we firstly analyze network measurement means and indicators.Forethernet test,a reliable UDP-based network measurement control protocol isproposed,named ETCP,makes ethernet reliable transmission and unreliable transmissioncan be combined,design and complete the packet loss retransmission mechanism,thehearbeat of life mechanism and retransmission adjustment adaptively mechanism,tocomplete enternet measurement tasks effitively.For radio network test,a newframe-based radio netowrk test control protocol is proposed,named RTCP.the frame testconcept makes the network measurement means and performance indicators can beapplied to radio network.Finally,based on the above two test protocols,we design anetwork measurement system to study the performance of ethernet and radionetwork.experimental results show that the network measurement system withfull-featured and stable performance can effectively complete the measure tasks inethernet and radio network.Currently, the system has been applied in a large-scale,itproves the effectiveness and completeness of system functions. |
