As the development of scientific technology, as well as the extensive of automaticsystem is getting larger, equipment have become increasingly demanding. Therefore,enhancing the equipment efficiency and operation stress has become a critical focusarea among experts who are engaged in the research of equipment. However, when theequipment acts perfectly, the relationship between each fraction becomes morecomplicated and intensive. Thus, a tiny fault happened in a fraction may lead to otherfaults. This kind of chain reaction resulted by the tiny fault brings about hinder inapplying the equipment. What’s more, this will result in environmental disruption,economic losses, threaten of personal safety. All these consequences cannot be imagined.As a result, technology of equipment diagnosis plays an increasingly important role. Onthe other hand, with the development of computer science and technology, advanceddata mining technology has been used in equipment fault diagnosis; meanwhile, it hasprovided new impetus in this area. Not only does the data mining technology canprovide intelligence mining, but also can help experts or maintenance personnel toinsure that the operation is running properly. This will reduce time and expenses inrepairing equipment, and it also can improve the maintenance quality. In conclusion, inorder to monitor changes of the system and failure information, it is urgent to buildequipment diagnosis system, thus, adopting necessary measures to preventingcatastrophic failures to happen.According to the research and application status as well as the developmenttendency of equipment fault diagnosis system, this paper firstly discusses the feasibilityin applying the data mining technology into the equipment fault diagnosis area. Afterthis, it introduces the concept, object and methods of data mining. And the data miningused in the equipment fault diagnosis is also elaborated. Then, the theories andalgorithms in association rule of data mining have been emphasized, at the same time,the Apriori algorithm as the classical one in association rule has been improved. Finally,based on the above researches, discussions and project issues that have been done, datamining technologies have been integrated into equipment fault diagnosis. And this paperdescribes the design and implementation of the system, achieving the goal of theproject.
