The Design And Research Of Software Download And Update Tool For The Embedded Mobile Terminal

The software update plays an important role in the embedded mobile terminals. It’s the very important procedure in the software development and manufacture.This paper makes a research on the CDMA mobiles’ software burning and update. The download tool bases on Qualcomm protocols.This paper makes an improvement on the Qualcomm download tool’s plugin curing.First of all,the paper has a research on the CDMA mobiles which is the typical embedded mobile terminal and analysis the USB technology used to communicate between PC and the terminal.The paper represents the differences about Nand Flash and Nor Flash,Nor Flash is the main operation object; Secondly,It analyzed the procedure of how the Boot Loader works,the APRG which is the Qualcomm products’ Bootloader is introduced based on the work of Boot Loader. Then the paper designed the software’s architecture of the improved tool, It designed three layers of the software:the bottom layer of serial communication,the protocol layer of operating the order and data packets,the controlment layer of controlling the user’s operation. Users realize the software update and Aprg plugin curing through controlment. layer,the protocol layer will send command data packets.In the end, The paper shows the tool’s software test result.The improved download tool elevates the efficient of software burning greatly.
