Digital management is a capital requirement in banknote printing and minting industry. With the development of the automation of the equipments in Shenyang Mint, hand operation is still applied in some links. Fully genning upon the techniques requirement and particular demand, the original developed automatic flan-putting machine successfully worked out the low efficiency and incoherent production by the hand-made flan-putting machine, which filled the gap of domestic equipmentsThis project adopted the design concept of the mechanotronics mechanical-electrical integration system which analyzed the system of the automatic flan-putting machine and designed its whole molding, mechanism and control system. Main achievements are as follows:Firstly, the technological requirements of automatic flan-putting machine are demon-strated. The principle of flan-putting by slide rail pan, pneumatic drive, rotating pan are analized. The scheme of structural design is fixed. Based on the above scheme, mechanic structure of automatic flan-putting machine is desidned.Secondly, the overall plan of automatic flan-putting machine is designed. The touch-screen, power and circuit, detecting component, PLC input and output circuit, terminal tonnection, etc are designed, according to the performance index of automatic flan-putting machine. The reliability of system and precision of putting are increased by using PLC of Siemens.Thirdly, based on the overall plan of automatic flan-putting machine and the combining detailed requirements of automatic flan-putting machine, the hardware of PLC control model, touch-screen, electric machine, input signal and breaker etc are chosen.Finally, the designing problems of software and communication network of automatic flan-putting machine are studied. The schemes of software designing and program imple-menttation are proposed. The effectiveness of program is demonstrated by the example of moving control of feed tray. The communication between the upper computer and the lower computer is realized by using the control technique for example MPI, PROFIBUS, etc. At last, the conclusions are drawn, and the further research directions are presented.
