Audio and Video Real-time Communication has been a hot topic in the study of computer Multi-media, and with the development of the mobile3G networks and the embedded platform, audio and video real-time transmission applications are also progressing towards embedded systems from Pc system.Because the analog signal transmission and PC multimedia real-time communication can not meet actual demands of the audio and video real-time transmission in more cases such as wireless, space limited and inadequate energy and tec, digital multimedia data transmission based on the embedded platform becomes a dominant selection and research focus. At present, the android application system is an efficient selection for embedded development.This paper will use the Android system as the platform to provide a high quality audio and video real-time communication solution. The terminal of the resident can do pure digital video and audio transmission with the microcomputer terminal of the ground-floor mouth, and many pairs of resident-terminals also do that with each other through the ground-floor mouth machine at the same time. Household terminal uses Android operating system, and it can also send unlocking message to the ground-floor terminal, receive message from main controlling room. The design can also do audio and video real-time communication directly with another Android platform, using optimized video data compression algorithm and audio compression algorithms to improve transmission and playback quality. Besides the study of Android voice and video acquisition, transmission system framework designtion theory. This article analyzed deeply and carefully studied android system theory, its supported video and audio codec library, RTP protocol and SIP protocol, and put forward a kind of method of good use and calling to these libraries and protocols:using the form that Android multithread application program uses the JNI interface to call RTP data transmission library and the audio and video codec ones.The playback program uses the time stamp mechanism to ensure the synchronization playback of audio and video, and video compression library is using the H.263standard.with audio compression using G729to ensure a good audio quality.Finally, in the Visual C++6.0and Android integrated development environment, under the design.intelligent video, voice terminal subsystem is developped. By the test, under the proposed design from this article, real audio and video transmission function not only realized real-time demand and synchronization of audio and video, but also meeted the requirements of audio and video being good and clear.
