University Information Management System Designing And Implementing Based On C/S Structure

Along with the continuous progress of the computer network technology andcomputer intelligence technology, the computer technology has been widely applied tovarious fields of the school management by various schools all over the world. Atpresent, most higher institutions have established campus networks. Because of higherinstitutions’ structural complexity, they strongly need to use computer technology tomanagement in order to improve wok efficiency. Currently, the influence of such eventsas the country’s college enrollment policy’s change and the family planning policy havedirectly led to our country’s higher institutions’ increasing enrollment in recenet years,gradually expanding the scale of enrollment. Therefore, every university faces growingpressure of management. The students’ training models also become diversified, and thedifferent levels of students directly led to some new changes of the management work.These system softwores of financial management, educational management and studentmanagement opened by some software development companies have single functionand work independently, so that data cannot be shared. These traditional managementmethods cannot satisfy today’s fast-paced work.This paper analyzes the information management needs of the SiChuan College ofEducation, combined with the computerized management work of daily teaching andeducational administration as well as the teachers and the students’ work. During thedeveloping process, the system puts much emphasis on the operation of the businessprocess and strives to make the system perfect in its comprehensive and universalaspects. The ultimate goal is to apply it to more than one educational institution.As far as the developing method is concerned, the system adheres to life cyclemethod, combined with the prototype method. It is designed by means of four stges ofinvestigating, analyzing, designing and implementing systems.Having overcome the deficiency of the original system, the system mainly adoptsthe C/S structure, combined with the developing technology of the B/S structure, tounite the teaching information management, student information management, teachers’information management, system management, etc. Finally, through the system managers of the system can do related work such as managing users, settingpermissions, releasing information, setting related paramaters, maintaining database.
