| With the development of technology, the ethernet has gradually replaced the traditional interface, becoming the main means of communications. More and more radar are using ethernet to construct the interior communication network.However, in practical application there are still a lot of equipment which only can provide traditional interface. Special communication cards were designed to achieve equipments connection. But different radar has different kinds of requirements. It increases the amount of design work and hinders the network implementation of radar communication.Based on the Atom ETX module, a multifunctional communication server is developed, which can provide synchronous/asynchronous serial ports, CAN, custom interface, ethernet interface. The variety types of traditional interfaces are connected to traditional non-networking equipment of radar, while ethernet interface accesses to radar’s interior network. The data are received and sent through the interfaces by the communication server. It also can accomplish data preprocessing according to product’s demands. Therefore, the obstacles in network transmission, resulting from different interface types of radar equipment, are eliminated.In communication server design process, the Atom ETX module is adopted as main processor because of its highly mature technology. Using this technology, not only the difficulty of development is reduced, but also the research cycle is shortened. Combing HD64570and LT1545/1546, the server can carry out data transmission through the same interface in both synchronous and asynchronous way, and the communications protocol can be controlled by programming. In FPGA, the designs for CAN, custom interface are finished.This communication server has passed test and verification in the radar system. It can achieve tasks in rigorous environment, stable and reliable, meeting the design demands. |
