The global navigation satellite system (GNSS) play very significant role in national security, economic and social development in recent years, the major powers in the world are racing to develop independent satellite navigation and positioning system, that make almost all of the satellite navigation system enter a high-speed development stage. Because the circular polarization antenna has some advantages such as high received efficiency, resistance to multipath reflection, and anti-interference, widely used in the satellite navigation system. In this paper, combining with the research project, the design of three new multi-frequency satellite navigation terminal antennas are based on the in-depth research of the circular polarization and multi-frequency technology of microstrip antenna.The whole paper is based on the engineering application background of the ground terminal the antenna in BeiDou navigation system of our country the beidou navigation system. In-depth research about microstrip antenna for the circular polarization and multiple frequency technology have been conducted on the basis of the previous studies. Firstly, the basic theory and analysis method of microstrip antenna is introduced. And then the realization of the circular polarization and feeding method of microstrip antenna is discussed. According to the working principle of single feed method to realize circular polarization, an dual-frequency navigation terminal antenna for BeiDou L/S band have been designed. The antenna is used in implementation of short message communication and positioning function of BeiDou system. A three frequency navigation terminal antenna using doubly-fed network with Wilkinson power dividers have been designed successfully. The antenna can be used in vehicle system. Based on the research of the antenna arrays, a new type structure of the three frequency antenna have been proposed. The navigation terminal antenna can be used in some handheld navigation products.The analysis of simulation and test results shows that the three new antennas in the paper have fulfilled the requirements of the design, with certain practical.
