With the rapid development of the modern process control technology and the continuousimprovement of the production requirements, more advanced process control strategies needs tobe researched and developed. Water level control system is an open platform to design anddevelop advanced level control strategies. It has observed, measured easily and visualconfiguration flexible characteristics. Water level control system can also implement a variety ofdisparate control scheme. Many scholars and engineering technology researchers have made animportant study based on the water level control system in order to verify the importanttheoretical results and guide the production practice. For the double tank water level controlsystem, this thesis studies the system design, modeling and simulation, controller design, controlalgorithm, and the experiment monitoring platform development. The main work of this thesis isas follows:Introduce the development and application of process system technology, research theprocess control algorithm and expound the multi water tank liquid level control systemsignificance.Research the water level control system based on networked control system NCS4000.Designed the system includes the overall structure, process flow, control system composition.Introduce the state of the art of application and research of multi water tank liquid level controlsystem.Summarize the basic idea of the mechanism modeling system and method. Use the materialbalance principle to model mechanism modeling of single tank and multi tank liquid levelcontrol object. Gain the system exact model by the mechanism modeling and systemidentification methods. And then design the PID controller. Realize simulation experiment andperformance analysis.Fuzzy PID controller of water tank level is designed. Simulation and physical experimentresults show that the fuzzy PID controller designed can make the control system reach thecontrol indexes and improve the control performance of the system.A real-time remote monitoring platform on PC is designed to monitor and operate the multiwater tank liquid level control system using MOSTView configuration software.The research and design of water level fuzzy PID control system base on NCS4000networkplatform make a good foundation for engineering and technical personnel to develop andvalidate the complex control strategy, at the same time also provides a good teaching and research platform to students and teachers.
