Material warehouse management is one important part of modern enterprisemanagement, it is crucial in the whole supply of the enterprise. Regarding toguarantee supplies, it is significance to improve the economic benefit of the materialscirculation. With the development of computer science and corresponding fiercecompetition increasingly, the requirement to the quality of material warehousemanagement is becoming more and more higher, therefore, a economic and efficientmaterial warehouse management system is very important to improve the EnterpriseManagement. The partial function of the warehouse management system of Jilinpetrochemical company is not perfect, many sections are still adopting the traditionalmanual approach that input and manage the data in the system by artificial statisticsand subsequently summary. There are many other shortcomings in this managementmodel, such as low efficiency, difficult management, non-synchronized information,it is unable to meet the demand of the fine management. Meanwhile it increases themanagement cost, seriously affected the enterprise foundation management level,restrict the development of the enterprise.Now the development and applications of information technology, it makewarehouse management change from the traditional "result oriented" to"process-oriented" gradually; from the "data entry" to "data collection";"Monitoringplatform is also introduced at the same time, which make management more efficientand fast, and related technology is gradually mature. After an overall analysis ofpresent warehouse management situation and problems based on the existing network,informationization level, Jilin petrochemical company decide to improve theinformatization management level of the warehouse management system throughin-depth development of existing warehouse management system function and modify the warehouse management process.This thesis showed the applied research combined with the actual characteristicsof the enterprise, through the analysis of jilin petrochemical company warehousemanagement status and the existing main problems, the objectives and principles ofinformation construction is determined, and then the framework of warehousemanagement information system construction is creatively proposed. Based on thedepth exploitment of the original module functions, we finished designing thefunction module. According to the function module design,128functionalrequirements are identified, and seven process designs are completed.Finally we achieved the development and application of warehousinginformation system functions, which changed the previous warehouse managementmode of the online and offline operation at the same time. It effectively solve theexisting disadvantages of the traditional warehouse management information in acertain level and make the company warehouse management more quick, convenientand high operability; at the same time it also avoid the unreasonable managementcosts and reduce the management risk. In order to ensure the effect of the projectimplementation, jilin petrochemical company make the informatization constructionas the core, and centralized management for the warehousing business, andreengineering the management process, constantly optimize the internal managementprocess, improve the level of system application.This system has been commissioning in the company, according to the actualoperation and feedback from employee, the new system make the operation moreconvenient and fast, the management become more scientific and efficient, which hasalready reached the design target basically. In the future, according to the actualfeedback in the process of application of this system, we will continuously improveand debugging the weakness of the system, which adapt to the new requirements ofthe warehouse management in the development of Jilin petrochemical company.
