Research And Implement The Integration Of Heterogeneous Database Based On XML

With the development of network and information technology, almost everycompany has to manage a great amount of data which stored in different forms throughvarious database management systems. There exist some methods used for dealing withheterogeneous data integration problem, such as federal databases, data warehouses,middleware framework, etc. However, these methods cannot satisfy the applicationsufficiently so that how to solve this problem has been put more and more emphasis.In this paper, a solution for heterogeneous data integration has been proposed whichis combined with practical applications in the PLA. In this solution, command data modelis based on XML technology, heterogeneous data source mode is based on XML Schema.Moreover, middleware technology and B/S architecture are significant elements in thissolution. The advantages are this solution provide unified query interface in order toprevent user from concerning about which database has been used, and the expansibilityhas been enhanced through heterogeneous data source register module. In experiment, thefeasibility and effectiveness of the solution have been proved.
