Design And Implementation Of The College Public Data Platform And Standard Management Tools

With the further application of IT in education, the informationization inuniversity is heading towards integration. The author proposes a systematic platformwith a delicate balance between integration and decentralization and the informationstandardization and control as the center. The proposal can deal with the problems asthe scarcity of overall planning in colleges, unauthorized information, the isolation ofinformation, the complexity of overall construction, poor extension, etc. Differentfrom the traditional architecture, it lays more emphasis on information standardizationand the constant management and monitor with management tools.Study on the key technologies such as database, heterogeneous databaseintegration, metadata management, programming languages, and smart clients, incombination with college requirements in the data integration phase, the authordesigned the overall structure of common data platform. The platform comprises fivesections: information standard, standard management tools, shared data base, dataswitching center, topic query and report. The design and development of standardmanagement tools is the focus of research. The author also participated in the design ofoverall platform architecture, information standards, and shared data base.The platform and information standard can be employed in universities while thestandard management tools provide the standard management for the college datatransportation.
