| Today we already have a society with the rapid development of informationtechnology. Micro-electronic plays an important role in communication technology.Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) is the key in receiver modules. As the first block of thewireless receiver following antenna, the noise performance of LNA determines the noiseperformance of the entire system. Therefore, to improve the sensitivity of the receiver,the research of LNA is of great importance.This paper gives an introduction of Low Noise Amplifier first. Then it introduceSmith Chart for matching and the non-linear devices to be composition of LNA, andpresents the fundamental principle of the microwave circuit design, including thedescription of two-port network, transmission line and impedance matching. Severalcircuits of the microwave amplifier were analyzed on the basis of reading a lot ofrelevant literatures. This project uses the balance structure circuit for the low power andlow noise amplifier at2GHz. The formulations of low-noise and high gain matchingdesign are achieved according to the noise of two-port network and broadband matchingtheories. Finally, the stability of low noise amplifier was simulated by using ADS softwareto verify the correctness of the design. Their differences in the results with experimentalwere also Simulated analyzed.By the study of Low Noise Amplifier, we can have a certain understanding of two-portnetwork and insight into the theory of the Balance Amplifier. Moreover researches on thephenomenon of Amplifier self-excitation were done. These works can give certain guide tothe actual work in a certain degree. |
