The thesis stems from the subject of “****†and the National Science Foundationof China. The results have an important directive and a practiacl use to develop andexploit communication system at Ka-band.This paper studies the rain-induced attenuation by theoretical analysis, experimental measurement, calculation and simulation. The main contents of the thesisas followe:1.The rainy physical characteristics are described, the models of differentraindrop size distribution are illustrated.2. Rainy scattering theory is expatiated, and theeffects of rainfall in the communication link are analyzed.3. The measurement systemof rainy-induced attenuation at Ka-band is designed, the principle of the device and thedata processing are given in detail.4. Based on the measured data, the raindrop sizedistribution in Xi’an is dicussed. Meanwhile the parameters of specific rainy attenuationmodel have been corrected.5. The Forecasting Model of rain-induced attenuation arepresented and their improved models are given. Rain-induced attenuation of Earth-spacelink at Ka-band is simulated by combing with the geography parameters of Xi’an andusing MATLAB. The effects of related parameters in ITUR model on rainy decay areanalyzed and the rainy attenuation with the outage probability by rain-induced arecalculated. It is concluded by the results in thesis that random factors of rainy attenuation varywith geographic obviously. Though rainy attenuation model had been established,it isnecessary to study related parameters according to the specific link in engineeringapplication, in order to make sure that predicted results are accurate. |
