Fieldbus is one kind of the very broad network technology applying to automation field at present, with benefits of open, decentralized, on-site environmental a high degree of adaptability. As a new technology, NetLinx network architecture implements the network routing seamless connection among the information and has been widely used in industrial control.For the characteristics of automation and related professional practice teaching requirements, this paper simulates the current popular industrial process field application of the control system structure and has developed fieldbus process control experimental platform based on the EtherNet/IP and DeviceNet by two-tier network topology. With the completion of the overall layout design, wiring of hardware, PC programming, monitoring system design, NetLinx industrial communication network planning, experimental debugging and so on, process control experimental platform uses CompactLogix series control system to set up the control platform with the control object of experimental resistance furnace and experimental two-tank. Aiming at the features of process control device based on network, this paper takes liquid level control in the process control experiment platform as the main object of research to design cascade control system. Through RSLinx and RSNetWorx, experimental platform establishes the communication among control system devices and realize the real-time monitoring and alarm.Process control experimental platform uses incremental PID control algorithm to control the liquid level of the two-tank system. Aiming at the incremental PID control algorithm’s disadvantages of large overshoot, long settling time, this paper supposes fuzzy PID control algorithm and fuzzy PID control algorithm based on genetic algorithm and simulates by MATLAB. The results showed that the genetic algorithm based on fuzzy PID control algorithm can improve control system performance and make up for the weak point of fuzzy PID control algorithm and incremental PID control algorithm.
