| Service-based Software System (SBS),which completes the specific functions by calling the remote services, is an organic whole composed by a number of some certain interacted and inter-dependent atomic services. A model of a network of services is formed through its abstract model-making process. Currently, the research on the reliability of the network of services is mostly concentrated on the atomic service level and the combination service level and the evaluation of the whole system is not enough. Therefore, it is not wise enough to select for the set of services. In view of this problem, this paper proposes the evaluation indicators on the reliability of the evolution-oriented network of services and the existence of the default-oriented network of services.The reliability of the evolution-oriented network of services, proposed according to the dynamic quality of the network of services, has its dynamic and atomic features. The dynamic character demonstrates that the performance of the service is influenced by the surrounding environment to a large extent. The atomic character demonstrates that the function of the service would vary at any time. Based on these two features of services, the inter-relationship between services becomes unpredictable, for either the performance or the function of the service can have an effect to the interaction between services and then to the structure of the network of services. This paper divides the calculation of the reliability of the network of services into three levels. And the reliability of the atomic service defines itself based on the performance of service, and reflects the dynamic changes of its service environment. The reliability of interactive services demonstrates the inter-relationship between the two services in the same business procedure. While the reliability of the network of services focused on calculation, reflects the network’s ability to accomplish several tasks from the general view. In this paper, the concept of the road set of services and the connectivity of services are proposed. Through these two quantities and by adopting the diagram way, one can display the relationship between services in the service-based software system. And thus, the reliability of the network of services can be calculated. The existence of the default-oriented network of services is proposed according to the replacement of services. There are a large amount of services which can be replaced by each other in the network of services. The similarities on their mode of behavior and the relationship of inclusiveness on the functions can provide them replicable services; thus, the existence of the network of services can be promoted. The proposition of the above two indicators provides the judgment basis to the selection of services and make it more effective to conduct its guidance when conducting its selection services.All in all, the propose of the reliability of the evolution-oriented network of services and the existence of the default-oriented network of services contributes to the much more accurate description of the characteristics of the network of services, provides basis for he selection of services and lay foundations for the construction of the reliable service-based software system. |
