In this paper the Benxi City College campus wireless LAN construction project forthe background, exploring the Design and Implementation of the campus wireless networkconstruction.Currently, the College of increasing levels of IT, the main choice of wired campusnetwork is not flexible enough in the course of construction cost of weaknesses, campuswireless LAN has become a campus networking solutions.Under the new situation of increasingly severe communication market competition,Telecommunication Service Provider focus on the customers in campus more and more. Incampus area, there are students, teachers and the families of teacher lives. They use manytypes of telecommunication business. On the other hand, the campus time schedule makesthe people’s activity has strong time character. People in campus has good educationbackground, they like use new value added services, for example video chat, network game.These businesses need higher quality network. To improve the capability of network, planthe coverage wireless network legitimately is needed.This paper first introduces the development of wireless LAN technology, applicationstatus, as well as the subject of the research background, pointed out that the main problemof the traditional campus network, viable discussion on the construction and design ofwireless campus network. The actual situation, and discussed the overall design of thecampus wireless access, network security, and network management, basic networktopology. Need to follow the principles of analysis of campus wireless network systemdesign, equipment selection basis, feasibility analysis, the requirements of the network, aswell as the establishment of privileges, set partitioning method. We make that WLAN tocover the indoor and outdoor area. The plan selects the features and benefits of the device,as well as wireless switches and wireless AP deployment scenarios, wireless networksecurity solutions. Finally, we make a building in campus area as example. We analysed thecoverage KPI, capability, wireless path loss and location of equipment. After the building ofWLAN in the campus, the wireless test shows this Solution has meet the customers onlinedata demand.The work and achievements of this research campus wireless network coveragemethod provides a reference.
