At present the blind travel lanes relies mainly on the stick. The blind navigation system thathave been published based on ultrasonic most identification system. The existing ultrasoundwaveguide blind product often can only if there is a discriminant ahead of the barriers andobstacles distance, and these are not able to bring substantial help for the blind. And the globalpositioning system (GPS) navigation has the problem about precision, it can only provide arough place, and there are the dangers. So it is a very significant work to design and realize thehandheld blind navigation system based on RFID(radio frequency identification technology).The project completed in PXA270as the main control module to RFID as the coretechnology of handheld blind navigation system. The system is inconvenient for the blinddeveloped for a trip to help blind people can easily reach the destinations on their own integratedsystem. The system combines RFID navigation, blind input, intelligent traffic identification,external data acquisition, voice prompts, phone, wireless transmission, global positioning andother functions into one. Hardware, the control module based on the expansion of the voiceprompts, blind keyboard, Zigbee wireless communication, GSM, GPS and other modules. Whilethe system is also equipped with integrated RFID radio frequency identification module and theultrasound array modules blind walking stick, the stick and the control module via Zigbeecommunication. RFID radio frequency identification module to read electronic tags on the Blindand transmitted to the control module processing, in order to voice prompts to walk the way ofthe full course of high-precision navigation for the blind, walk at the same time to correct theerror; the ultrasonic array module using ultrasonic ranging principle is, by algorithm based onneural network training of machine learning methods to analyze samples on the ultrasound,completed the identification of several common road. The system contains multiple processors,in parallel under the control of main control module and efficient work Software system basedon Linux operating system, multi-threaded programming model, to ensure the system real-timeand reliability. More important is the subject with the special case of the blind road, we designed a kind ofeffective mobile anti-collision algorithm to solve the problem brings the conflict between the readers using themore and more RFID readers. This system integrates the technology of embedded system development, RFID and Zigbeewireless communication technology, so the blind navigation system that we design andimplement have various advantages: advanced technology,well performance,perfect function,low cost and so on. It can be applied on blind disables in a short time.
