Mine flooding is a common major disaster in coal mine. Without timely discharged it cando serious harm to the entire mine safety production. The open and close of the main drainagesystem’s pump underground have been completed by man in most domestic mine present, andthe pump can not be automatically open or stop according to the water level or other parameters,what’s more, it does not have remote monitoring capabilities. For control circuit is complexity,its reliability is relatively poor, workers’ labor intensity is increased, there is a big security risk inthis mode.Though the transformation to central pump house’ automation has been done in somestate-owned mines, once flooding accident bursts out in the working face, it is found to be a deadstock. Let alone predicting the depth of flooded well water or taking timely measures.Therefore,to improve mine sump water level monitoring system, has become a developing trend of themine modernization.Existing problems in water level detection of mine water storage and drainage system arestudied, and it is applicable to coal mine sump water level monitoring system in this graduationtheses. Siemens S7-200PLC is used as central control unit, Kingview is PC monitoring softwareconfiguration, and Ethernet is used to achieve communication between lower unit and PC. Inaddition, necessary analog expansion modules and communication modules are extended. Thenthe system hardware design and software design are introduced in detail.This design is with control modes of automatic, remote manual and local manual, and canbe freely switched. The pump can do real-time measurement of water storage level in automaticmode, and automatically determines the start time and the number of units according to thechanges in water level. Taking the principle of uniform wear and to prevent rust due to long-termof moisture into account, working mechanism of the pump rotation is designed. Meanwhile, TD200C text display can locally show the water level and pump status, which facilitates thecommissioning and maintenance of equipment and reduces working hours underground. Finally,breadth first search algorithm of network topology is applicated to forecast shaft submergencedepth, submerged tunnel and water inflow on a point of well underground. It has some practicalsignificance on prevention and treatment of mine water damage.
