In recent years, computer technology and information technology of products is developingrapidly, parametric design ideas have been widely used in machinery industry, have become aninevitable trend. Reducer is a kind of common mechanical transmission device, is widely used,the design of its complex structure has a great similarity, repetitive and tedious, but also is basedon this, reducer is suitable for parametric design.In the integrated development environment of the VC, developed3D Parametric DesignSystem of the NGW planetary reducer with MFC and Pro/E secondary development kitPro/TOOLKIT, including: the establishment of the program interface, MFC-based menus anddialog technology, library database access technology and the establishment of model library.Through the system, designers can achieve interactive design in the visualization platform, andachieve the automatic update of reducer parts and assembly, and check the strength of individualparts, the assembly model can be built into ADAMS software for simulation analysis to checkthe rationality of design. This design simplifies the design process and shortens the design cycleof product greatly, improves design efficiency and product quality.The design method based on Pro/E parameters is general, provide valuable experience forother design of similar products, great value.
